YOUR WEDDING DAY: 7 EXTRA TOUCHES YOUR GUESTS WILL LOVE!

You’ve spent months, perhaps even years planning your wedding, and now the big day is finally in sight! Now that the larger items are all accounted for, it could be your chance to consider the small, personal touches that will make your day truly memorable. At The Insurance Emporium, we know there are many options out there when it comes to weddings, so we’re sharing our pick of extra touches we think your guests will love!

Dance the night away

There’s nothing worse than spending a day with throbbing feet stuck in uncomfortable heels! To make sure your guests don’t have to miss out on dancing, you could provide flip flops in various sizes for them to help themselves to. That way everyone should be able to party the whole night through!

She’s fresh!

Aside from achy feet, guests could reach a point in the evening when they’re feeling less fresh than they might feel comfortable with. To keep your friends feeling (and smelling) their best, provide bathroom baskets containing products such as deodorant, a lint roller, plasters, tampons or towels, bobby pins and hair ties. Don’t forget to do the same for the gent’s toilet too!

The kids are alright

If you’re going to have a lot of children in attendance during your big day, you might want to provide them with some entertainment. Setting up a dedicated kids table can work well. Give them goody bags containing colouring-in books and pencils, sweets and a small toy. They could even have a colouring-in table cloth!

The magic number

Add a personal touch to your table numbers by linking them to digits or dates important to your relationship! Your table numbers could even represent yourselves at different ages – each table featuring photos of both the bride and groom at various stages of their lives either before or after you met!

Getting to know you

Another method to really personalise your tables might be to provide lists of helpful, or interesting facts about yourselves. Providing a factsheet about the bride for the groom’s party and vice-versa could be a great way for all your guests to get to know you both a little better!

Batteries included

Well, you don’t necessarily have to supply the batteries, but it might help to keep your guests happy by installing a phone charging station at your wedding! Friends and family wanting to capture all of the action might struggle to keep their mobiles going the whole day long. This way everyone can be sure to capture all the photos and videos of the big day they (and you) want!

Don’t leave me hanging!

Some of your wedding revellers might find themselves feeling worse for wear the following morning. One thing you could do to help is to provide adult guests with hangover kits as wedding favours! Make a little bag containing a small bottle of water, pain killers, mints, instant coffee sachets and anything else you can think of! They’ll definitely thank you the next day…

Your wedding day should be about you, and creating a wedding to reflect you as a couple will ensure your guests have the best of times. Hopefully we’ve given you some ideas for those personal finishing touches!
