A dog is man’s best friend, so it’s only natural that we’d share our most magical adventures with them. The Felin Fach Griffin, Brecon Beacons, Wales
There are few areas in the UK which can outstrip the Brecon Beacons in the natural wonder stakes. The scenery is spectacular, whether at the foot or summit of one of the mountains, and there’s so much to explore. The Felin Fach Griffin is located right on the edge of the national park, so there’s plenty of dog walking hotspots, while your pupper will be more than welcome in the rooms at no extra cost. They can even play with the pub’s resident dogs Max and Lottie!

Saltwater Brig, Kircubbin, Northern Ireland
Northern Ireland can brag a huge range of gorgeous landscapes and the Saltwater Brig pub in Kircubbin, County Down has one on its doorstep. The pub offers views out across Strangford Lough and boasts a luscious, green beer garden for revellers and dogs to enjoy. Should the weather take a turn for the worst, however, the inside also has plenty to offer. The cosy ‘snug’, dominated by the open fire, is particularly charming and it’s all open to dogs.
Galley of Lorne Inn, Ardfern, Scotland
Are you and your pup planning on exploring Scotland’s rugged west coast? Then the Galley of Lorne Inn in the fine village of Ardfern could be perfect. The establishment itself, a former 17th century drovers’ inn, has an array of delightful rooms for you and your pets, plus a stunning garden and decking area which looks out across Loch Craignish. The Lister Arms, Malham, Yorkshire
The Yorkshire Dales is a prime location for walking and quaint country pubs, and Malham is home to one of the most notable inns; The Lister Arms. From its striking ivy-covered stone walls in a picturesque village, to the elegant and cosy rooms available, the inn has an impressive repertoire indeed! Dogs are fussed over, with a special sausage and treats on offer in the bar area, and as The Lister Arms is situated in the Dales, it’s surrounded by some of the most pristine parts of English countryside you’re likely to find!
The Old Coastguard, Mousehole, Cornwall
Beaches, the seaside, whimsical finishing villages; Cornwall certainly offers plenty if you’re looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life for a coastal trip. The Old Coastguard at Mousehole lies right on the southern coast and boasts extraordinary views of the sea. The garden is excellently maintained, while the bar/restaurant and bedrooms are stylish without being pretentious. And to top it all off, your pooches are allowed to stay in the rooms free of charge!
