Both of our static caravan policies include benefits like Theft, Loss, or Accidental Damage, New for Old (Standard), Public Liability (Standard) and Personal Accident as shown in the table below.
Essential is our entry-level policy type with Plus adding extra benefits and higher levels of cover. Simply choose which one best meets your needs and then enhance it with Optional Benefits.

The cost of alternative accommodation or hire of replacement holiday caravan whilst yours is being restored to a habitable condition.
Disconnecting and removing, re-delivery and reconnection if uninhabitable for more than 24 hours.
Reimbursement of ground rent until your uninhabitable holiday caravan is repaired, replaced, or settlement paid.
The cost of repairing accidental damages or broken panels, sanitary ware, mirrors and glass, TVs and audio equipment.
The cost of replacement keys or locks.
Loss or damage of food kept in a domestic deep freeze due to a rise or fall in temperature.
Cover for your death following bodily injury caused by fire or assault by thieves whilst present in your holiday caravan.

14 days before and after a special occasion, extends contents and personal belongings cover.

Save up to 35% on new policies with our additional discounts, with plenty of ways to reach the maximum saving. Discounts available for Caravan Club membership, secure window locks, alarm, policy holder aged over 30 and 3 years or more no claim history with a previous caravan insurer (10%).
This is based on a static caravan insured for £1,000 on the Essential level of cover with no Optional Benefits selected.
The average premium our customers paid in 2023 was £9.38 per Lunar Month, with an average £18,241 sum insured.
What does static caravan insurance excess mean?
An excess is the part you pay towards a claim.
How does static caravan insurance excess work?
With our static caravan insurance policy, there are only two Standard Benefits where you need
to pay an excess:
- Theft, Loss or Accidental Damage
- Public Liability (Standard)
For example, if there is a storm and a tree branch falls and cracks one of your static caravan windows, we will deduct the fixed accidental damage excess off the money we pay you.
There is no excess payable for claims under the following Standard Benefits:
- Alternative Accommodation (only available on Plus cover level)
- Removal & Delivery (only available on Plus cover level)
- Ground Rent (only available on Plus cover level)
- Keys & Locks
- Freezer Food
- Personal Accident
There is no additional excess payable for claims under the following Standard Benefits:
- New for Old (Standard)
- Family Cover
- Friends Cover (UK only)
There are no Optional Benefits where you need to pay an excess.
If you have a static caravan insurance policy with us, you can view your excess amounts within your Policy Schedule.
Are there any restrictions as to where my static caravan can be sited?
Your holiday caravan must be kept on a licensed site.
Do you offer 'New for Old' cover?
Dependent on the cover level chosen we offer 'New for Old' cover anywhere from 4 years up to 15 years from the date of manufacture.
What are the security requirements on your static caravan?

What additional equipment can I insure?
We will insure any non-standard fixtures, fittings and accessories added since manufacture including air conditioning units, aerials, awnings, batteries, fire extinguishers, gas bottles, generators, refrigerators, satellite dishes, security devices, solar panels, water carriers and any other ancillary equipment related to the use of your caravan.
What additional contents can I insure?
We will insure household goods and personal belongings, owned by you or a member of your family, that are in your caravan. Please refer to our policy wording and the question below for items we do not insure.
What additional contents can I not insure?
Any items used solely or partly for business, profession or trade purposes and articles made from precious metals, bicycles, binoculars, books, business tools, cameras, car accessories, cash, cheques, credit cards or the like, clocks, collections of any kind, computers and ancillary or associated equipment, documents, fishing equipment, furs, gaming consoles, gemstones, gold, golfing equipment, guns and any other associated equipment, hearing aids, instruments, jewellery, mobile phones, Motability scooters, personal media including CDs, DVDs and MP3s, photographic or audio-visual equipment and accessories, pictures or works of art, securities, silver, software, spectacles or contact lenses, sports equipment, watches or watercraft.
What age will you insure my static caravan up to?
Up to the age of 25 years from the date of manufacture.
Will you insure my static caravan if I let a friend use it?
We offer cover for up to 2 friends to use the static caravan in the UK for social, domestic and pleasure purposes as long as they are over 25 years old.
Will you insure my static caravan if I let a family member use it?
We offer cover for up to 3 family members to use the static caravan for social, domestic and pleasure purposes.
Will my policy cover me if I use my static caravan as a permanent address?
No. Your policy will not cover you if your caravan is being used as a permanent living accommodation or home address, or as accommodation for periods longer than 90 consecutive days.
Does the insurance cover the costs of temporary accommodation?
Yes, if your static caravan is rendered uninhabitable for more than 24 hours by any insured event specified in the policy, temporary accommodation up to £150 per day (for a maximum of 15 days) is provided depending on the level of cover chosen.
Is my freezer food covered?
Yes, if there is loss or damage to food that is kept in a domestic deep freeze cabinet in the static caravan and is caused by a rise or fall in temperature, we will pay up to £550 (depending on level of cover chosen).
What happens if I need to unexpectedly remove my static caravan due to a disaster on site?
If your static caravan is rendered uninhabitable for more than 24 hours by any of the insured event, we will cover any reasonable costs for disconnecting, removing, re-delivery and re-connection of your caravan up to £10,000 depending on the cover level you have chosen.
What should I do with damaged parts and belongings?
Please don’t dispose of any items without our permissions. Our Claims Team may require these items as part of the claims substantiation process.
What are Optional Benefits and do they apply to my caravan insurance?
Optional Benefits are sections of cover that you can select if you wish to.
Optional Benefits applicable to static caravan insurance are:
